Adalove Gorrie, Principal

Elementary Montessori Diploma (6-12), AMI
OTC (SK-Grade 8), Toronto Teacher’s College
B.A. Sociology, University of Toronto

Adalove Gorrie has been working in the field of education as a teacher and administrator for over forty years. Prior to being the Principal of Bannockburn, she had worked for the Etobicoke and Peel Boards of Education as an Elementary teacher. She then joined the Toronto Montessori campus on Bannockburn Avenue, taking on the positions of Elementary teacher and Vice-Principal. In 1993, Adalove founded Bannockburn School.  Adalove is intensely committed to the Montessori way of learning, and serves as a proud and influential member of the Bannockburn Community.


Helen Traicus, Vice-Principal

Primary and Elementary Diplomas (3-12), Toronto Montessori Institute
Training of Trainers Diploma, Toronto Montessori Teacher Training Institute
B.A. History, York University

Helen Traicus has been working at Bannockburn since its inception and has extensive experience working with children from primary to elementary levels. She continues to share her love of Montessori education by training adults.


Terry Gorrie, Business Director

Terry Gorrie studied Business Adminstration and Business management at the University of New Brunswick and the University of Western Ontario. He has been involved with the administration of independent schools for over 30 years. He has been with Bannockburn since its founding.
