Why Tools of the Mind and Montessori Educational Approaches Can Help Executive Function Skills

School curricula empirically shown to improve EFs share several features in common. First, the classroom is not centered around the teacher, and the teacher is rarely expected to teach all children the same thing at the same time.

Faculty and Staff

The faculty and staff of Bannockburn School are wholly dedicated to inspiring a life-long love of learning in an environment that is nurturing and focused on the growth of each individual.

All classroom teachers possess Montessori teaching diplomas accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). Each Toddler and Primary classroom is directed by two fully-qualified teachers; Elementary classrooms are directed by one fully-qualified Montessori teacher. Specialist teachers hold university degrees relevant to their field of specialization, and some specialist teachers also possess Montessori training.

Faculty members can be reached by e-mail or by phone. Contact teachers by e-mail if you would like to schedule an appointment or a telephone interview, if you have any questions about field trips or any other day-to-day matters.

Please note that school policies require teachers to address any student concerns or issues either by phone or in person during an appointment or a parent-teacher conference. If you would like to discuss a student concern or issue, please make an appointment to either meet or speak with your child's classroom teacher.
