Toddler Program

The Toddler Program is offered to children who are approximately between the ages of 14 months and 3 years old.

In addition to age, children who are eligible for Bannockburn School's Toddler Program need to already possess some fundamental skills, such as walking steadily and being able to carry a small tray or jug.  Each child will be assessed based on his or her individual development.

The Toddler is an acute observer, eager to learn and explore. The earlier we offer stimulation that allows the child to concentrate, absorb, and master new skills, the earlier the intellectual, physical, sensory, and creative abilities of the child develop.

The serene, pristine Toddler environments provide a nurturing setting specifically suited to the developmental needs of the very young child. A small student-teacher ratio of twelve students to two teachers ensures that each child is given the attention and care he or she needs. The environment stimulates the child to work and grow purposefully. He or she develops a lasting ability and desire to accomplish, and the love of learning. The Toddlers also have access to a dedicated and secure outdoor garden and play area.

Students in the Toddler Program will become increasingly self-sufficient as they learn to care of themselves and interact with other children and with adults.

Children arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and are picked up at 11:30 a.m. Toilet training is considered part of the Program.
