Visual Art

As part of their Visual Art studies, the UEL students explored various methods and experimented with composition in photography in April and May 2008.

The Visual Arts Program aims to develop a child's ability to perceive, express, and create beauty through a holistic and inspiring Art experience.

It focuses on three key aspects of artistic development:

Creation: creativity, problem-solving, and stretching the imagination

Expression: skills, methods, and techniques that enable expression

Appreciation: understanding and inspiration through Art History, self-evaluation, and aesthetics

Elementary students receive weekly Art classes in a separate Art Room, where they explore a broad range of media and activities, including drawing, painting, sculpture, print-making, fabric design, and animation. Primary students explore Visual Art through classroom activities and projects.  An extra-curricular Visual Arts program is also offered to Primary students who would like to supplement their classroom experience.
